Helical Knurled Inserts

Helical Knurled Inserts are precision-engineered threaded metal inserts designed with helical (spiral) knurl patterns on their outer surface. These knurls provide exceptional grip and torque resistance when installed into plastic, thermoset, 3D-printed parts, and soft metals.

They are typically press-fit, heat-installed, or ultrasonic-installed, depending on the material and insert type.

1. Heat-Set Helical Inserts

• Installed into thermoplastics using soldering iron or heating tools.

• Common in 3D-printed parts (ABS, PLA, Nylon).

2. Ultrasonic Inserts

• Installed using ultrasonic welder.

• Ideal for mass production.

3. Press-Fit / Cold-Press Inserts

• For soft plastics & thermosets

• Installed with arbor press / manual tools.

4. Mould-In Helical Inserts

• Placed inside the mould cavity before injection moulding.

• Provides the strongest possible anchoring.
